MANILA – Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms will prevail over the whole archipelago on Wednesday, the weather bureau said.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said Tropical Depression Carina had weakened into a low-pressure area (LPA) on Tuesday night.

It was last tracked at 200 km. northwest of Basco, Batanes.

“This won’t cause heavy rains,” he said, adding that PAGASA does not see other weather disturbance outside the Philippine area of responsibility.

The LPA is expected to dissipate in the next 12 to 24 hours, Aurelio said.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail over the entire country. (PNA)
