ZAMBOANGA CITY – A suspected big-time and a newly-identified drug personality were arrested while some PHP380,000 worth of illegal drugs seized in an anti-drug operation here, a top police official said Thursday.

Brig. Gen. Jesus Cambay Jr., Police Regional Office-9 (PRO-9) director, identified the suspects as Wajir Binnahad Absara, 37, whose name is on the drug watch list; and Muslaidi Sajih Insail, 41, a newly-identified drug personality.

Cambay said the two were arrested by the operatives of the Zamboanga City Police Office’s (ZCPO) Station 5 in a buy-bust around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in Sitio Asinan, Barangay Kasanyangan here.

The two suspects yielded some 60 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of PHP380,000 and PHP1,800 marked money, Cambay said.

Charges are set to be filed against the suspects who are now under the temporary custody of ZCPO’s Station 5. (PNA)
